After this activity, as teachers, we have decided to recommend our students an useful website called “Macmillan English”. In this, the student will be able to check something if they have doubts and as well, they will practice inside of this website. This has a catalogue of free resources and we have selected “Inspiration” edition in order to help and encourage our students during the lesson.
In order to verify and evaluate this website, we are going to check the following aspects:



Authority
This page, there are many experts who have many years of experience in the field of writing books.
All the people involved in this web site are supported by Macmillan, which is one of the world’s leading publishers of English Language teaching and school materials, with over 150 years of publishing experience.
There is a link in which anyone can get contact with the information about the authors and this is always available.


Coverage
The information presented in this website is always relevant for the subject.
This is very useful, because as students as teachers are able to look for more extra information, do exercises, verify with other sites, etc.
The material is deep in the sense of the variety of resources that is presented. There are many different editions form books, activities, etc.

Objectivity
The advertisement used inside of the site is always related to the topic.
It uses as references some other sites like the British Council, One stop English, etc.


Accuracy
The exercises, activities, articles and materials are created by experts in the teaching- learning field.
We can see the date of when it was updated the source.
This web site is free of spelling mistakes.
It has a company information, which is verifying and checking all the information used in the page.
Currency
Dates are always showed by the website.
There are links for external information in sites like The British Council and others publications online.

We consider that all these aspects give a complete support to this website in order to be selected for our lesson

The use of roles in online groups

Hi!

In order to show you how my class was on Tuesday, I would like you watch this video about a presentation called "The use of the roles in oline-groups". As you can see everybody is participating and that's the way we construct our knowledge...all together :)

The importance of learning styles in learning process

Learning styles?

When we want to achieve an educational goal,
we have to take into consideration our learning style
in order to apply it in our metacognition,
but how can I know my learning style?
According to Kolb (1984, 41), "learning is the process whereby knowledge is created through the transformation of experience. Knowledge results from the combination of grasping experience and transforming it."

As future teachers or tutors, we have to encourage our learners
to apply the knowledge they have already had in order to construct
a new one through different strategies. These strategies come from their
learning style.

Have you already had a teachingexperience?

If the answer is "yes", Had you already thought on these learning styles?

Have you given them the importance they have in learning process?

If thye answetr is "No", Are you really conscious about them?

Are you going to take them into consideration next time you design a lesson plan?

Roadmap of E-leaning

Hi! :D

You know, I was just looking for a video about e-learning

and I found one from Stockholm college, which is focused on

e-Learning communities. They express their intention to take

Education beyond physical places with the belief on net communities as a powerful tools

for sharing aspects as cognitive, teaching,

but also the social aspect, which can create human relationships and change lives in

different senses. They higlight that the important point is to take advantages from

these aspects in order to achieve the creation of knowledge.

It doesn't matter if inside of the community there are

handicap people, women working at home and outside or workers with irregular working schedules, the education must be for all.

The Learning-Teaching Process

As I said before, Today I want you to analyse in detail how the teaching, social and connitive presences are inside our learning-teaching process.

As we can observe, there are many important factors around them, but everything has the same purpose...set purposes focused on students needs

in order to create meaningful learning.

It's important to know that as teachers of a new era,

we can apply this into F2F or e-learning courses.

According to my course, this was our first view of learning, but it is obvious that
