The importance of learning styles in learning process

Learning styles?
their importance in learning process?
:o
Do you remember this?
When we want to achieve an educational goal,
we have to take into consideration our learning style
in order to apply it in our metacognition,
but how can I know my learning style?
According to Kolb (1984, 41), "learning is the process whereby knowledge is created through the transformation of experience. Knowledge results from the combination of grasping experience and transforming it."

As future teachers or tutors, we have to encourage our learners
to apply the knowledge they have already had in order to construct
a new one through different strategies. These strategies come from their
learning style.
Have you already had a teachingexperience?
If the answer is "yes", Had you already thought on these learning styles?
Have you given them the importance they have in learning process?
If thye answetr is "No", Are you really conscious about them?
Are you going to take them into consideration next time you design a lesson plan?
I'll be waiting for your answers and together we can reflect on that
ok?
See you soon!

  2. I agree with you, we must never forget the learning-style factor: as teachers, to ease learning and help students be aware of their strengths and weakness; as students to enhance learning and become more involved in it. (Juan Carlos)
